Instagram, also known as IG, is now the second most used social media platform, with more than 1 billion online users active monthly and 500 million users active on a daily basis. With an estimated 71% of businesses in the US using IG as part of their marketing efforts, there’s no time to consider using it other than now!
Now, for some people who haven’t mastered the art of using IG, then this guide on how to post on social media via Instagram’s mobile app is perfect for you! Here’s the uber-simple steps:
- Download the mobile app from the Apple Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).
- Once the app has already been installed, open the Instagram mobile icon app. Facebook can now be integrated with your Instagram account for easier log-in access, but having a separate Instagram account would also be fine.
- For posting photos and videos, tap the “+” icon. You have three options: A. Upload a photo, video or multiple photos which enables you to post nine (9) photos in one post, B. Take a new photo or C. Take a new video.
- Press “Next” on the upper right corner of the screen in order to choose a filter for your photo or video.
- Once you’ve chosen your desired filter, click on the filter box in order to reduce the filter’s effect. You can also tap the “Edit” tab at the bottom of the screen to edit other aspects of the photo or video (e.g. Brightness, Contrast, Structure).
- Click “Next” on the upper right corner of the screen.
- Now it’s time to add the caption. Tap the text field in order to start adding your caption. You can also choose to place hashtags that are related to your IG post.
- You can also tag people in your post (Tag People), place location tag (Add Location), and you can also share it on your other social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter
and Tumblr). - Tap “Share” to publish your post and share it with the world!
